Montanha Mágica* returns in 2026 as a continuous space for creation, research, and reflection on art and landscape. In this fifth edition, the focus turns to the mountain after the fire — a territory marked by devastation, but also by transformation and regeneration. More than representing the landscape, the event invites artists and researchers to think and work from within it, exploring the relationships between territory, memory, ecology, and community.
The open call is available until June 15 and welcomes artistic projects, residencies, exhibitions, visual essays, films, installations, cartographies, and interdisciplinary practices that approach landscape as a critical experience and a field of research. Montanha Mágica* thus establishes itself as a living laboratory where art, thought, and territory intersect.
