iA*lab Sensoria is characterized by the conceptualization and development of theoretical-experimental artistic projects of an immersive and/or interactive nature, their interfaces (visual, sound, tangible), narratives and intermediary and multisensory languages. Its aims are to explore the symbiotic and theoretical-practical relationships between art, science and technology. Its main lines of action are interfaces and sensory and gestural relationships between human and computer; extended, immersive and speculative realities; aesthetic exploration, gamification and artificial intelligence in artistic creation and design processes. Its projects include the creation of inter@lab: a laboratory for prototyping interfaces and immersive environments; exploring the limits of sensoriality in the interactive intermedia process.
Interfaces, extended realities and interactivity: the relationship between art, science and technology.
This context is decisive in producing the sensation of being present in a digital or mixed environment, while maintaining the awareness that it is an experience mediated by technology. Its scope extends beyond the scientific and artistic fields to include different social areas such as culture, education and leisure. In this sense, the interdisciplinary approach of the line’s members is fundamental to encompassing all these areas.
Events and results include the creation of Sensoria (a biennial international meeting), exhibitions, workshops and training courses, and scientific publications in the speciality.
