The Arts and Shared Creation Research Laboratory is one of the actions of Renata Ferraz’s project, awarded by the FCT Individual Scientific Employment Award. The objective is to create spaces for dialogue between artist-researchers from different Universities in Portugal and other countries around Research in Cinema and Other Moving Images. The Laboratory will be a space for discussion and production of artistic works and scientific texts by the people who are part of it. In addition to serving as a network for monitoring individual projects, this will be a space for collective projects around the idea of Shared Creation. This has a transdisciplinary character and is associated with a practice that challenges power dynamics, by prioritizing inclusion and diversity of thought and their respective creative processes. Without being closed in on itself, the Laboratory will make production available to the community, facilitating the communication of processes and results, in addition to designing projects together with it.
